Travel Hints
and Tips
Here is information we’ve
received from Travel Alberta and Banff Lake Louise
Tourism to help with your planning:
Airport options (and distance from Fairmont Lake
Louise – estimated time and distance) – All attendees
should fly into the Calgary International Airport (there
are direct flights to Calgary from Chicago, Dallas,
Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis,
Newark, Orlando, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Portland, Salt
Lake San Diego, San Fran & Seattle). The Fairmont Lake
Louise is located about 2 ˝ hours from Calgary.
Transportation from the airport to the resort
(rental cars, train – some people are taking train
across Rockies, taxi, etc.) - It’s wonderful to have a
rental car to explore the area. The drive from Calgary
to Lake Louise is an easy drive – four lane paved
highway – and as there are so many beautiful sites to
see in the mountains it’s nice to have a car to do a bit
of exploring pre/post. However, if attendees do not want
to rent a car there is an airport transfer service
(currently $69.95 plus taxes/park fees) by Brewster.

The Banff Airporter also
provides shuttle service to Lake Louise with a
connection in Banff with the Banff Airporter® private
sedan service

Vancouver) – Here is the link to the Rocky Mountaineer
