The Web Sling & Tie Down Association is a technical association dedicated principally to the development and promotion of voluntary recommended standards and associated reference materials. As such, the association operates under Technical Committees to develop such materials. WSTDA also charters an Editorial Review Committee for Lift & Secure, the official magazine of WSTDA, and welcomes new applications for this Committee, using our online form.

Members of the Technical Committees are involved, in varying degrees, in the development and updating of the voluntary recommended standard specifications and associated reference warning materials relating to the principal products. The Committees are limited in size, and the Committee Chair has the authority and responsibility to accept or deny a request for Committee membership by a member for consideration on a Committee in order to maintain a balanced and manageable Committee size.

Individuals who are not employed by a WSTDA Member organization areo welcome to join a Technical Committee to provide subject matter expertise; however, voting during a Committee meeting is limited to WSTDA Regular and Associate members serving on the Committee. Any Regular or Associate Member organization with more than one representative serving on a Committee will be limited to one vote per organization.

Individuals are now able to join a Technical Committee as an Observer. This will give individuals an opportunity to attende Committee meetings without a vote in Committee matters.
